Director, Radiation Protection Division: Rosa Sardella studied nuclear engineering at the University of Bologna, where she also obtained her doctorate in 1997 in the Department of Mechanical, Nuclear, Aviation and Metallurgical Engineering. Since July 2016, Rosa Sardella has been Director of the Radiation Protection Division, as part of the ENSI Board.

Former director, Waste Disposal Division: Michael Wieser graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Biel/Bienne in 1992 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He then embarked on an international assignment as a Commissioning Engineer and Project Manager with ABB Power Generation/ALSTOM, working in the field of thermal power plants and control systems.

Director, Resources Division: Jean-Claude Veyre (born in 1957) studied electrical engineering at ETH Zurich, graduating with a degree in that subject in 1980. Director, Resources Division: Tamara Garny studied English and German Literature and Linguistics at the University of Zurich. Before joining ENSI she held a number of different positions with the Swiss Insurance Association (SVV) where she was an Executive Board member and Director of the Finance, HR and Administration Department since 2011.
