In addition to the technical aspects of nuclear safety there are also human and organisational factors. In addition to nuclear technology, ENSI experts study both safety within an organisation and the psychological phenomena of plant employees who are exposed to extreme stress in emergency situations.
ENSI will be participating in the Ninth Review Meeting of the Convention on Nuclear Safety of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, scheduled to take place from 20 to 31 March. This year’s conference will be evaluating Switzerland’s Eighth and Ninth National Reports.
ENSI is attending a four-day conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA – the International Conference on Effective Nuclear and Radiation Regulatory Systems – which is taking place in Abu Dhabi from 13 to 16 February 2023. A core theme of the conference will be the topic of competence management in the nuclear sector.
Since 11 March 2011, ENSI has been addressing the lessons learned from the Fukushima Daiichi reactor accident. To mark the tenth anniversary, ENSI is publishing a further report, and considering its regulatory approaches and methods in respect of human and organisational factors.
