ENSI Emergency Organisation

As a matter of course, all permanent employees of ENSI are assigned to the ENSI emergency response organisation. They are responsible for the tasks and functions assigned to them. The assignment is based on the employee’s respective level of experience and the function they perform at ENSI on a daily basis. To ensure a deployment matched to the incident, the ENSI emergency response organisation initially consists of an organisational structure. Employees involved following a deployment constitute the emergency response organisation, which is subdivided into task forces.

The emergency response organisation can be adapted if necessary. In particular, other liaison persons may also be employed who act as technical experts of the ENSI in an advisory capacity.

In order to fulfil its statutory tasks, ENSI maintains appropriate infrastructure such as MADUK and JRODOS.

ENSI’s tasks are based on the regulations from

  • The Emergency Preparedness Ordinance,
  • The Nuclear Energy Ordinance and
  • The Radiation Protection Ordinance.
