Decisions

A decision is an order of an authority in an individual case that is based on public law. It is a unilateral sovereign act. In particular, a decision establishes, modifies or revokes rights and obligations.

For changes which do not differ materially from the construction and operating licence or the decommissioning order, but which may have an influence on nuclear safety or security, the holder must obtain approval from ENSI. Approvals are also decisions.

If no appeal is filed within 30 days of the opening of a decision, it enters into law, i.e. it becomes binding.
