At the 59th General Conference of the IAEA the representatives of the member states held discussions about various topics in the field of nuclear energy. The Swiss delegation with its representatives emphasised the international strengthening of nuclear safety.

The Director General of the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate headed the group of international nuclear experts who inspected the Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority on behalf of the International Atomic Energy Agency. No fewer than 62 “recommendations” on improving supervisory practice were issued.
