All nuclear power plants were in good condition in terms of safety: this is ENSI’s assessment in its 2020 Oversight report. The number of incidents was in line with previous years. Thanks to the operators’ early precautions, the COVID-19 pandemic had no impact on the safety of the plants. Download document is in German.

While some of the projects of the ENSI research programme in 2020 delivered important results and new research projects were launched, the Corona pandemic made international cooperation within the framework of committees and agreements more difficult. Switzerland has submitted its 8th National Report to the Convention on Nuclear Safety (CNS) at the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA in Vienna.
