Switzerland has submitted its 8th National Report to the Convention on Nuclear Safety (CNS) at the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA in Vienna.
The Swiss nuclear facilities were operated safely in 2018. This is the conclusion reached by ENSI in its annual oversight report. Download document is in German.
In 2018, there were no incidents in Swiss nuclear installations that exposed personnel or the population to an inadmissible dose. All limits were adhered to. This is stated in the Radiation Protection Report 2018 of the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI.
This guide applies to transport and storage casks, also named as dual purpose casks (DPC), for spent fuel elements and high active waste that are used for dry interim storage.
