    IPPAS Mission 2023: International experts to review Swiss nuclear security regime

    Switzerland is to be reviewed by experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) between 30 October and 10 November 2023, when the focus will be on national requirements and measures to protect nuclear installations and nuclear material, including radioactive material, from unauthorised actions.

    The 67th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) took place in Vienna from 25 to 29 September 2023. The focus was on global nuclear safety and security, and the crisis in Ukraine. The General Conference was a success for Switzerland; all resolutions relevant for Switzerland were adopted by consensus after intensive negotiations.
