This research is geared to current regulatory issues and those likely to be of relevance in the foreseeable future. ENSI currently supports national and international research in four areas: «Reactor Safety», «Radiological Protection », «Transport and Waste Management» and «Human and Organisational Factors and Safety Culture».

Chapter 1 of this report contains a brief description of these research projects together with an evaluation of their relevance to safety. Appendix A contains a detailed scientific description of the research.
