This research is geared to current regulatory issues and those likely to be of relevance in the foreseeable future. The HSK currently undertakes national and international research in four areas: «Reactor Safety», «Radiation Protection», «Transport and Waste Management» and «Human Factors, Organisation and Safety Culture». Chapter 1 of this report contains a brief description of these projects together with an evaluation of their relevance to safety. Appendix A contains a detailed scientific description of the research.
