The Technical Forum on Nuclear Power Plants (TFK) serves as a platform for dialogue between representatives of authorities, operators and interest groups, enabling them to exchange views on current safety issues to exchange views relating to Swiss nuclear power plants.
The Technical Forum on Nuclear Power Plants (TFK) is a platform for in-depth and transparent discussion of safety issues relating to the operation of nuclear power plants.
The TFK is open to nuclear power plant operators, cantons, municipalities, interested organisations, experts and representatives and politicians from Switzerland and neighbouring Germany.
Members of the forum can submit questions. The questions and answers published by ENSI help inform and support opinion-building within the participating organisations.
The Forum meets in person once a year, or as needed. ENSI organises the event. In addition to answering questions, ENSI introduces a topic through a keynote speech, which can be chosen in advance by the TFK participants. Since 2025, no minutes have been recorded at the event.
Technical questions regarding the safety of Swiss nuclear installations can be submitted to ENSI using the question form. ENSI registers the questions and forwards them to the relevant experts.
The answers to the questions discussed in the TFK are published on the ENSI website and thus made available to the public. The published answer reflects the position of the responding organisation, not that of the forum.
ENSI takes data protection seriously. Questioners have the option of anonymising their question.
