Tamara Garny to become the new Director of the Resources Division

The executive board of the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (ENSI) has named Tamara Garny as new Director of the Resources Division. The 43 year old will take up her new position on 1 June 2018. She succeeds to  Jean-Claude Veyre, who is now responsible for Quality Management at ENSI.

ENSI’s Director General Hans Wanner stated: “In Tamara Garny we are welcoming a proven expert to take over the Resources Division.” The Resources Division includes the sections Human Resources, Finance, IT and Administration. As the divisional director, Tamara Garny will report to the Executive Board of ENSI. The Director of the Resources Division is not a member of the Executive Board but will attend all of its meetings.

Tamara Garny has many years of technical and personnel management experience in different support areas: over the last 14 years, she was employed in various functions at the Swiss Insurance Association (SVV) in Zurich, since 2011 as a Member of the Executive Board and Director of the Finance, HR and Administration Departments, before that as Director of Central Services and Director of Organisation and Planning.

She studied English and German Literature, and Linguistics in the Philosophy Department at the University of Zurich. Subsequently she successfully completed post-graduate studies in business administration and NPO Management as well as being awarded a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) for professional development courses in the areas change management and coaching as leadership competencies.

Jean-Claude Veyre responsible for Quality Management

The current divisional director Jean-Claude Veyre, decided to relinquish leadership of the division at the end of 2017, to focus much more comprehensively on Quality Management, and to participate in the project management area in the future.
