“We are shocked by the death of our colleague, whom we had come to appreciate as a friendly and outgoing person,” says Anne Eckhardt, President of the ENSI Board. “Karine Rausis greatly enriched the work of the ENSI Board. During the past two years, she dealt very intensely with the ENSI supervisory activities. She used clear and pragmatic argumentation to bring her expert knowledge into the discussions of the ENSI Board – in the interest of nuclear safety.”
The Swiss Federal Council elected Karine Rausis in November 2013 as the successor for Pierre Steiner and confirmed this vote for another four years in 2015. The expertise of the Valaisan electrical engineer not only covered the area of electromagnetic compatibility, the protection of control-current corrosion, and the medium-voltage and high-voltage installations, but also the area of project and process management, which she dealt with in-depth in the ENSI Board.
