Supervision

ENSI, the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate is the national regulatory body with responsibility for the nuclear safety and security of Swiss nuclear facilities.

According to the legislation, nuclear safety is the responsibility of the operator. ENSI reviews their reports, conducts supervisory discussions and monitors nuclear plants – with over 400 inspections a year for instance.
