Developments in the technical and legal basis of nuclear oversight
In terms of its regulatory safety research, ENSI awards and coordinates research projects designed to identify and develop scientific knowledge and expertise that can be made available to the regulatory process. This research is geared to current regulatory issues and those likely to be of relevance in the foreseeable future. ENSI currently supports national and international research in four areas: «Reactor Safety», «Radiological Protection », «Transport and Waste Management» and «Human and Organisational Factors and Safety Culture».
Chapter 1 of this report contains a brief description of these research projects together with an evaluation of their relevance to safety. Appendix A contains a detailed scientific description of the research.
