This research is geared to current regulatory issues and those likely to be relevant in the foreseeable future. ENSI currently supports national and international research in four different areas: «Reactor Safety», «Radiological Protection», «Transport and Waste Management » and «Human influence, Organisation and Safety Culture».

Chapter 1 of this report contains a brief summary of these research projects together with an evaluation of their relevance to safety. Appendix A contains a detailed scientific description of the research.
